On connected quandles of prime power order (Q2042121)

The paper concerns the classification of indecomposable (or connected) finite quandles of order \(p^3\) for a prime number \(p\). The authors present some general techniques that are useful to understand the structure of prime-power indecomposable quandles. In particular, these techniques are used to recover the results of [\textit{P. Etingof} et al., J. Algebra 242, No. 2, 709--719 (2001; Zbl 1018.17007); \textit{M. Graña}, Beitr. Algebra Geom. 45, No. 2, 665--676 (2004; Zbl 1076.57011)] related to indecomposable quandles of size \(p^k\) for \(k\in\{1,2\}\). Results on the classification of certain families of indecomposable quandles of size \(p^3\) appear in Section 5.
