A convex body \(K\) in \(\mathbb R^{d}\) is called an \(r\)-ball body if it is the intersection of a set of Euclidean balls with radius \(r\). If it is a finite intersection of Euclidean balls with radius \(r\), we call it an \(r\)-ball polyhedron. A set that is the intersection of only two Euclidean balls with radius \(r\) is called an \(r\)-lense. In [Beitr. Algebra Geom. 51, No. 1, 229--235 (2010; Zbl 1202.52009)], \textit{K. Bezdek} and \textit{R. Schneider} proved an estimate for the volume of a spherical convex body. This estimate is extended in this paper to the Euclidean space: Theorem 1. Let \(r>r_{0}>0\), \(N>1\) and \(d>1\). Let \(P=\{p_{1},\dots,p_{N}\}\subseteq \mathbb R^{d}\) such that the circumradius of \(P\) equals \(r_{0}\). Then \[ \operatorname{vol}_{d}\left(\bigcap_{k=1}^{N}B_{2}^{d}(p_{k},r) \right) \leq\operatorname{vol}_{d}(L_{r,r-r_{0},d}) \] where \(B_{2}^{d}\) denotes the Euclidean ball and \(L_{r,r-r_{0},d}\) is an \(r\)-lense in \(\mathbb R^{d}\) whose inradius equals \(r-r_{0}\).
