This work considers a diluted system of interacting fermions (spin 1/2) in a cubic box with periodic boundary conditions. A new derivation for the ground state energy of the system is proposed via the second quantization approach. Within this context, the specificity of realisation in comparison to the Bogoliubov theory for interacting Bose gases is discussed.
