Let \(T\) be an \(\omega\)-Calderón-Zygmund operator with the modulus of continuity \(\omega\) satisfying the Dini condition. For a linear operator \(T\) and a locally integrable function \(b\) define the commutator \([b, T]f(x) = b(x) Tf(x) - T(bf)(x)\), \(x\in {\mathbb{R}}^n\). The higher order commutator of order \(m \in {\mathbb{N}}\) is defined by \(T^0_b = T\), \(T^m_b =[b, T_b^{m-1}]\). The authors study continuity properties for \(T^m_b\) between generalized Zygmund spaces of \(\left[L^{p(\cdot)}(\log L)^{q(\cdot)}\right]_w({\mathbb{R}}^n)\) type, in the variable exponent setting with different weights. It is assumed that \(b\) belongs to the generalized Lipschitz space and weights satisfy bump conditions formulated in the context of Musielak-Orlicz spaces. \par The second set of results is related to the boundedness of the operators \(T^m_b\), \((I_\alpha)^m_b\) (\(I_\alpha\) is a fractional integral operator) from weighted variable Lebesgue space \(L^{p(\cdot)}_\mu ({\mathbb{R}}^n)\) to \(L^{q(\cdot)}_\lambda ({\mathbb{R}}^n)\). In this case, it is assumed that \(b\) belongs to the suitable weighted \(BMO\) and weights \(\mu\), \(\lambda\) are from variable Muckenhoupt-Wheeden classes \(A_{p(\cdot),q(\cdot)}\).\par The techniques involved in the proofs are related to the theory of sparse domination which allows to control operators by dyadic operators.
