Let \(\phi\) denote a function associated with a non-convex vector variational problem and \(\phi_0 = Q\phi\) represent its quasi-convexification. The present work is concerned with the analysis of the reverse process: Given a quasi-convex function \(\phi_0\), find appropriate candidates \(\phi\) such that \(\phi_0 = Q\phi\). This reverse process is referred to as ``inverse quasi-convexification''. The paper establishes principles that underlie inverse quasi-convexification and illustrates these principles based on several examples. The appendix provides some general references and expositions for non-specialists.
