For a weight function \(\omega\), let \(\mathcal S_\omega(\mathbb R^N)\) denote the space of \(\omega\)-ultradifferentiable rapidly decreasing functions of Beurling type as introduced in [\textit{G. Björck}, Ark. Mat. 6, 351--407 (1966; Zbl 0166.36501)]. Its space of multipliers is investigated. To do so, let \(\phi^*\) be the Young conjugate of \(\phi = \omega \circ \exp \) and define, for \(f \in C^\infty(\mathbb R^N)\) and positive integers \(n \) and \(m\), the norm \[ r_{m,n}(f) = \sup_{\alpha\in\mathbb N_0^N} \sup_{x\in\mathbb R^N} |\partial^\alpha f(x)| \exp\left(-n\omega(x) - m\phi^*\left( \frac{|\alpha|}m \right) \right). \] Then \( \mathcal O^m_{n,\omega} = \{ f | r_{n,m}(f) < \infty \} \) is a Banach space and \[ \mathcal O_{M,\omega}(\mathbb R^N) = \bigcap_{m=1}^\infty \bigcup_{n=1}^\infty \mathcal O^m_{n,\omega}(\mathbb R^N) \] is the space of slowly increasing functions of Beurling type. It is shown to be a projective limit of (LB)-spaces. Furthermore \[ \mathcal O_{C,\omega}(\mathbb R^N) = \bigcup_{m=1}^\infty \bigcap_{n=1}^\infty \mathcal O^m_{n,\omega}(\mathbb R^N) \] is the space of very slowly increasing functions of Beurling type. It is shown to be an (LF)-space. The main result of the paper is the theorem that \( \mathcal O_{M,\omega}(\mathbb R^N) \) is the space of multipliers of \(\mathcal S_\omega(\mathbb R^N)\) as well as of its strong dual. Once this has been shown, the space \( \mathcal O_{M,\omega}(\mathbb R^N) \) can be embedded into the space of all continuous linear endomorphisms of \(\mathcal S_\omega(\mathbb R^N)\) and thus inherits either the strong operator topology or the topology of uniform convergence on the bounded sets. These two topologies are compared to the projective limit topology. Among other results it is shown that the bounded subsets of all three topologies coincide.
