The authors continue their study of 2-local isometries of function spaces, see [\textit{A.~Jiménez-Vargas} and \textit{F.~Sady}, Publ. Mat., Barc. 65, No.~2, 727--746 (2021; Zbl 1477.46009)], and also cf.\ this reviewer's review of that paper. For first countable compact spaces \(X,Y\), for spaces of continuous functions modulo constants, equipped with the diameter norm, in this interesting paper, the authors show that any 2-local isometry (which need not be linear) is a linear surjective isometry.
