    The author considers rational functions with prescribed set of poles laying outside the unit circle \(\mathbb{T} =\{ z : |z| =1 \}\). For \(n \in \mathbb{N}\) and \(a_1, a_2, \ldots, a_n \in \mathbb{C}\setminus \mathbb{T}\) he introduces the following set of functions \[\mathfrak{R}_m(a_1, a_2, \ldots, a_n) =\left\{ R(z) = \frac{P(z)}{\prod_{k=1}^n (z-a_k)} \ : \ P\in \mathbb{C}[z], \deg P =m \right \}.\] For the elements of \(\mathfrak{R}_m(a_1, a_2, \ldots, a_n)\) the author obtains a sharp Bernstein-type inequality. For every \(R\in \mathfrak{R}_m(a_1, a_2, \ldots, a_n)\), where \(n \leq m\), and every \(z \in \mathbb{T}\), he estimates from above the value \( \left|\mbox{Im} \left(z R^\prime (z) \right) \right| \) in terms of the maximal and minimal value of the real part of \(R\) on \(\mathbb{T}\) and a special Blaschke-type product corresponding to the set of poles. The author does not assume that all poles are located on one side of \(\mathbb{T}\). He also obtains a Turán-type inequality, namely the estimation from below for the value \(\mbox{Re} \left( \frac{z R^\prime (z)}{R(z)} \right) \), where \(z\in \mathbb{T}\), and growth estimates for \(R\in \mathfrak{R}_m(a_1, a_2, \ldots, a_n).\)
