The localization operators were introduced by \textit{I. Daubechies} [IEEE Trans. Inf. Theory 34, No. 4, 605--612 (1988; Zbl 0672.42007)]. She highlighted the role of these operators in localizing a signal simultaneously in time and frequency; this can be seen as an uncertainty principle. Nowadays, localization operators have found many applications in time-frequency analysis, the theory of differential equations, and quantum mechanics. In this paper, the author defines the localization operators by means of the most used time-frequency representation which is the continuous Gabor transform connected with the Riemann-Liouville operator. It is shown that such operators are not only bounded, but are also in the Schatten-von Neumann class. A trace formula, for the nonnegative symbol function, is also given.
