The Kauffman bracket skein module \(\mathcal{S}(M)\) of a 3-manifold \(M\) is a \(\mathbb{Q}(A)\)-vector space spanned by links in \(M\) modulo the well-known Kauffman relations. In [\textit{P. M. Gilmer} and \textit{G. Masbaum}, Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 147, No. 9, 4091--4106 (2019; Zbl 1428.57009)], it is conjectured that the dimension of \(\mathcal{S}(\Sigma\times S^1)\), where \(\Sigma\) is a compact closed oriented surface of genus \(g\geq 2\), is \(2^{2g+1}+2g-1\). This paper answers positively the conjecture by constructing an explicit spanning family for \(\mathcal{S}(\Sigma\times S^1)\).
