In this paper, the author contributes to the body of literature on the Griffiths conjecture. This conjecture, although solved on the level of classes (see [\textit{W. Fulton} and \textit{R. Lazarsfeld}, Ann. Math. (2) 118, 35--60 (1983; Zbl 0537.14009)]), has remained open on the level of forms for decades. If \(E\) is an ample vector bundle on a smooth projective variety \(X\) of dimension \(n\), then the main result of this paper is ``that any Schur class of \(E\), lying in the cohomology group of bidegree \((n-1, n-1)\), has a representative which is strictly positive in the sense of smooth forms''. As a corollary, the author proves that if \(s_\lambda\) is the Schur polynomial for the partition \(\lambda\) with \(\vert\lambda \vert = k\) and \(H_1\) through \(H_{n-k-1}\) are very ample divisors, then \(s_\lambda(c_1(E),\dots,c_r(E))\cdot[H_1 \cap \dots \cap H_{n-k-1}] \) ``has a smooth representative which is strictly positive in the sense of \((n-1, n-1)\) forms''. Further, the author shows that these results hold for \(\mathbb{R}\)-twisted ample vector bundles.
