A trigonal curve is a curve \(C\subset\Sigma_n\) in a rational geometrically ruled surface such that the ruling restricts to a degree \(3\) map \(C\to\mathbb{P}^1\). The Alexander module of such a curve is the \(\mathbb{Z}[\mathbb{Z}]\)-module \(K/[K,K]\), where \(K\) is the kernel of the canonical epiomorphism \(\deg\colon\pi_1(\Sigma_n\smallsetminus(C\cup E))\twoheadrightarrow\mathbb{Z}\). Following [\textit{A. Degtyarev}, Topology of algebraic curves. An approach via dessins d'enfants. Berlin: de Gruyter (2012; Zbl 1273.14065)] and using the characterization of the braid monodromy groups of trigonal curves (essentially, genus \(0\) subgroups of the modular group) and a description of such groups via dessins d'enfants, the author completes the classification of all Alexander modules of trigonal curves: there are several infinite families and quite a few sporadic classes. The paper under review reports part of these findings, viz.\ all \(p\)-primary components with \(p\ne2\).
