The paper is devoted to the problem of constructing minimal and cmc hypersurfaces in a Riemannian manifold \(M\). It is supposed by the author that \(\Sigma^2\subset M^3\) is a minimal surface of index 0 or 1. Under the assumption that a neighborhood of \(\Sigma\) can be foliated by constant mean curvature (cmc) hypersurfaces, \(\varepsilon\)-cmc doublings of \(\Sigma\) for sufficiently small \(\varepsilon > 0\) are constructed using min-max theory and the catenoid estimate. Such cmc doublings were previously constructed for minimal hypersurfaces \(\Sigma^n\subset M^{n+1}\) with \(n + 1\geq 4\) by Pacard and Sun using gluing methods (see [\textit{F. Packard} and \textit{T. Sun}, ``Doubling construction for cmc hypersurfaces in Riemannian manifolds'', \url{www.cmls.polytechnique.fr/perso/pacard.frank/Publications/PR-01.pdf}]). While the results obtained by the author apply in the case \(3\leq n + 1\leq 7\).
