Vector Euclidean (VE) spaces were introduced by \textit{R. M. Loynes} [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc. (3) 15, 373--384 (1965; Zbl 0138.39102)] as a generalisation of the notion of an inner product space, where, the ``inner product'' takes values in a certain ordered involutive vector space. The main result of this paper states that, if a VE space \(\mathcal E\) is barreled with respect to the topology determined by the ``inner product'' then any adjointable operator from \(\mathcal E\) to a VE space \(\mathcal F\) over the same ordered involutive vector space is automatically bounded, hence continuous. A series of corollaries are presented, showing that the behaviour of adjointable operators of barreled topological VE spaces are in a certain sense close to the adjointable operators of locally Hilbert \(C^*\)-modules.
