The general interest here lies in the homogenization of a Stokes fluid including magnetizable particles. The particles are either paramagnetic or diamagnetic. The coefficients of the corresponding partial differential equations are taken to be locally periodic, and only a one-way coupling between the fluid domain and the particles is assumed. This raises the natural question whether a genuine both-way coupling can be treated theoretically. The whole paper is focussed on relaxing a technical condition on the magnetic permeability coefficient. For the entire collection see [Zbl 1495.74001].
