Let \(C\) be a bounded convex subset of a Banach space \(X\) and \(\mathcal{U}\) a free ultrafilter on a set \(I\). Denote by \(X_\mathcal{U}\) the ultrapower of \(X\) with respect to \(\mathcal{U}\) and \[ C_\mathcal{U}:=\{(x_i)_U\in X_\mathcal{U}: x_i\in C \text{ for all } i\in I \}. \] The main aim of the paper under review is to study when (strongly) extreme points, denting points, or strongly exposed points of the set \(C\) carry over to \(C_\mathcal{U}\) and vice versa. For example, the authors prove that, for a countably incomplete ultrafilter \(\mathcal{U}\) and \(x\in C\), the point \(x\) is a strongly extreme point in \(C\) if and only if \((x)_\mathcal{U}\) is a strongly extreme point in \(C_\mathcal{U}\). This result extends and improves the one in [\textit{J.~Talponen}, Math. Scand. 121, 111--120 (2017; Zbl 1430.46011)]. In the final section, the authors analyse the extremal structure of \(C_\mathcal{U}\) in the case that \(C\) is a super weakly compact or a uniformly convex set.
