Analysis of war and conflict effect on the transmission dynamics of the tenth Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (Q2092834)

This paper presents analysis of war and conflict effect on the transmission dynamics of the tenth Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The two factors the paper uses to access the presence of war and political instability in Ebola virus disease endemic regions exacerbating the spread include the ability of the health care facility to accommodate infected individuals and the escape of the latter from the facility. The paper estimates the parameters and fits the model to the data during 2018 and 2020. The basic reproduction number is calculated and the stability results are established. Some numerical results are also performed.
