Assuming the Riemann hypothesis, the authors derive the Selberg limit type formula for the imaginary part of \(\log L(1/2+it,\phi)\) over a family \(L(s, \phi)\) of Hecke-Maass \(L\)-functions associated with a Hecke-Maass cusp form \(\phi\) of \(\mathrm{SL}_n(\mathbb{Z})\) for \(n\geq 3\). The result is a generalization of the well-known Selberg limit formula in \(\mathrm{GL}(2)\) and \(\mathrm{GL}(3)\) settings.
