In the paper under review, the authors investigate the moments of long Dirichlet polynomials with higher order shifted divisor functions and provide asymptotic estimates for them. As a consequence, they prove special cases of conjectures of \textit{B. Conrey} and \textit{J. P. Keating} on mean values of long Dirichlet polynomials with higher order shifted divisor functions as coefficients [Indag. Math., New Ser. 26, No. 5, 736--747 (2015; Zbl 1332.11079)].
