A complex Kleinian group in dimension 2 is a discrete subgroup of \(\mathrm{PSL}(3, \mathbb C)\) acting on complex projective space \(\mathbb{CP}^2\); a classical Kleinian group instead is a discrete subgroup of \(\mathrm{PSL}(2, \mathbb C)\) acting on the complex projective line \(\mathbb{CP}^1\). A classical Kleinian group is called elementary if its limit set is finite (0, 1 or 2 points), and such groups have simple dynamical behaviour. In the present work, the author considers solvable groups as a 2-dimensional analogue (and generalization) of elementary groups. Building on work of \textit{W. Barrera} et al. [Discrete parabolic groups in PSL\((3,\mathbb{C})\), Preprint, \url{arXiv:1802.08360}], he provides a description, up to finite index subgroups, of the dynamics of solvable complex Kleinian subgroups of \(\mathrm{PSL}(3, \mathbb C)\); these groups have again simple dynamics, in contrast to the rich dynamics of the strongly irreducible discrete subgroups of \(\mathrm{PSL}(3, \mathbb C)\) as studied by \textit{W. d. J. Barrera Vargas} et al. [Math. Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 150, No. 1, 129--146 (2011; Zbl 1214.30032)] and \textit{A. Cano} et al. [Complex Kleinian groups. Berlin: Springer (2013; Zbl 1267.30001)]. From the text: ``We show that triangular groups can be decomposed in four layers, via the semidirect product of four types of elements, with parabolic elements in the inner most layers and loxodromic elements in the outer layers. It is also shown that solvable groups, up to finite index subgroups, act properly and discontinuously on the complement of either a line, two lines, a line and a point outside the line, or a pencil of lines passing through a point. These results are another step towards the completion of the study of elementary subgroups of \(\mathrm{PSL}(3, \mathbb C)\).''
