The authors study nonautonomous differential equations \[ \frac{dx}{dt}(t)=a(x(t),t),\quad \frac{da}{dt}(z,t)=c(a(z,t),z,\eta(t),t) \] having a self-organising velocity vector field, where \(x(t),z,a(z,t)\in{\mathbb R}^d\) and \(\eta(t)\) is interpreted as stimulus. Such models are inspired by brain plasticity and aspects of artificial intelligence. \par On a rather informal level, under continuity of \(a,D_1a,\eta\) and dissipativity assumptions it is stated that the above problem is well-posed including continuous dependence on initial conditions. Furthermore, it is established that a pullback attractor exists, as well as a forward attracting set. Some discussion and perspectives conclude the paper.
