Let~\(R\) be a regular integral domain with fraction field~\(K\) of characteristic not~\(2\). A quadratic space~\((V,\psi)\) over~\(K\) is called unramified over~\(R\) if for every height one prime ideal~\(P\) of~\(R\) there exists a quadratic space \((V(P),\psi (P))\) over~\(R_{P}\), such that \[ K\otimes_{R_{P}}(V(P),\psi (P))\,\simeq\, (V,\psi)\, . \] In the paper under review it is shown that if~\(R\) is semilocal and contains a field (of characteristic~\(\not= 2\)) then such an unramified quadratic space~\((V,\psi)\) is extended from~\(R\), i.e., there exists a quadratic space \((W,\varphi)\) over~\(R\), such that \(K\otimes_{R}(W,\varphi)\simeq (V,\psi)\). The main tool in the proof is the newly by the author [Izv. Math. 83, No. 4, 796--829 (2019; Zbl 1479.14060); translation from Izv. Ross. Akad. Nauk, Ser. Mat. 83, No. 4, 158--193 (2019)] developed theory of nice triples. If~\(R\) is only regular local and contains a field of characteristic not~\(2\) this has been proven already by the author of the paper under review in [Invent. Math. 176, No. 2, 397--403 (2009; Zbl 1173.11025); Doc. Math. Extra Vol., 515--523 (2010; Zbl 1270.11035)], the latter one jointly with \textit{K. Pimenov}.
