The topology of uniform convergence on Lindelöf subsets (Q2125131)

Firstly, the authors of this paper study uniform topologies and set-open topologies on the set \(C(X)\) of all continuous real-valued functions on a Tychonoff space \(X\). They also study the topology of uniform convergence on Lindelöf subspaces of \(X\) on the set \(C(X)\). The set \(C(X)\) endowed with this topology is denoted by \(C_{l,u}(X)\). Especially, they investigate relations of this topology with the Lindelöf-open topology, the pointwise convergence topology, the compact-open topology and the uniform convergence topology as well as the space \(C(X)\) with the topology of uniform convergence on countable subsets. Finally, the authors study when the space \(C_{l,u}(X)\) satisfies topological properties like metrizability, separability, Čech-completeness and the Baire property.
