Let \(\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^n\) be a smooth open set. This article discusses the concavity property of solutions to \(-\Delta u=f(u)\) in \(\Omega\), \(u=0\) on \(\partial \Omega\). It is assumed that \(f>0\), \(f'\geq 0\), \(f''\leq 0\) and \(f'(0)\leq 2n\omega_n^{n/2}/|\Omega|\). It is shown that if the Hessian matrix \(D^2 u\) is negative on \(\partial\Omega\), then \(u\) is concave on \(\Omega\).
