Let $K$ be a finite extension of $\mathbb Q_{p}$, $p$ a prime integer, and let $K_\infty/K$ be a totally ramified Galois extension which is strictly APF according to \textit{J.-P. Wintenberger} [Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér. (4) 16, 59--89 (1983; Zbl 0516.12015)] and let $X_{K}(K_\infty)$ be its field of norms. This field of norms, $X_{K}(K_\infty)$, is a field of characteristic $p$, isomorphic to $k_{K}((\pi_{K}))$, where $k_{K}$ denotes the residue field of $K$ and where $\pi_{K}$ is a uniformizer of $X_{K}(K_\infty)$, and is naturally equipped with an action of $\Gamma_{K}=\mathrm{Gal}(K_\infty/K)$. The author of the paper under review considers a generalized question of \textit{L. Berger} [J. Éc. Polytech., Math. 1, 29--38 (2014; Zbl 1317.11121)] in the sense of: can we lift this action, $\Gamma_{K}$ to characteristic zero, along with a compatible Frobenius map? The author explains what he means by lifting the field of norms, explains its relevance to the theory of $(\varphi,\Gamma)$-modules, and shows that under a certain assumption on the type of lift, such an extension is generated by the torsion points of a relative Lubin-Tate group and that the power series giving the lift of the action of the Galois group of $K_\infty/K$ are twists of semiconjugates of endomorphisms of the same relative Lubin-Tate group. The paper is a very good research one and is a good reference for interested researchers in the field.
