The authoress proves the following theorem: Theorem. If a \(2\pi \)-periodic in each variable function \(f\) belongs to the class \[ \left\{ f:\left\vert f(x,y)-f(x_{1},y_{1})\right\vert \leq \left\vert x-x_{1}\right\vert +\left\vert x-x_{2}\right\vert ,\text{ } (x,y),(x_{1},y_{1})\in \left[ -\pi ,\pi \right] ^{2}\right\} \] and \(n,m\in \mathbb{N}\), then the inequality \[ \max_{(x;y)\in \lbrack -\pi ;\pi ]^{2}}\left\vert f(x,y)-\sigma _{m,n}^{2,2} \left[ f\right] (x,y)\right\vert \leq \frac{6\pi ^{2}-16}{3\pi \ln 2}\max \left\{ \frac{\ln (m+1)}{m+1},\frac{\ln (n+1)}{n+1}\right\} \] holds, where \[ \sigma _{m,n}^{2,2}\left[ f\right] (x,y)=\frac{1}{\pi ^{2}}\int\limits_{-\pi }^{\pi }\int\limits_{-\pi }^{\pi }f(x+t,y+s)K_{m}^{2}\left( t\right) K_{n}^{2}\left( s\right) dtds, \] is the rectangular Cesaro mean of order \((2,2)\) with \[ K_{m}^{2}\left( t\right) =\frac{1}{2}+\sum_{k=1}^{m}\left( 1+\frac{k}{m+1} \right) \left( 1+\frac{k}{m+2}\right) \cos kt. \] The constant \(\frac{6\pi ^{2}-16}{3\pi \ln 2}\) is exact.
