The paper is devoted to the energy density problems for quasiconformal mappings and related constructions. For \(f\in W_{\mathrm{loc}}^{1,2}(\mathbb C)\) and \(D_R=\{z\in\mathbb C:|z|<R\}\), the energy density \(E(f)\) is defined by \[E(f)=\limsup_{R\to\infty}\frac{1}{\pi R^2}\mathrm{Area}(f(D_R)).\] The complete projective space \(\mathbb C\mathbb P^n\) is endowed with the Fubini-Study form denoted by \(\omega_{FS}\). The authors prove the following theorems. Theorem 0.1. Let \(f:\mathbb C\to\mathbb C\mathbb P^1\) be a uniformly continuous quasiconformal mapping. If \(f(\mathbb C)\) omits two points, then \[ \lim_{R\to\infty}\frac{1}{\pi R^2}\int_{D_R}f^*\omega_{FS}=0. \tag{1}\] A Brody curve is a pseudoholomorphic map from \((\mathbb C,J_{st})\) to \((\mathbb C\mathbb P^2,J)\) with bounded derivative. Theorem 0.2. Let \(J\) be a smooth \((C^{\infty})\) almost complex structure on \(\mathbb C\mathbb P^2\), tamed by \(\omega_{FS}\). Let \(f:\mathbb C\to\mathbb C\mathbb P^2\) be a smooth \((C^{\infty})\) \(J\)-holomorphic Brody curve. If \(f(\mathbb C)\) omits three \(J\)-lines in general position, then (1) holds. Theorem 0.3. For every \(0<\alpha<2\), there exists a uniformly continuous quasiconformal mapping \(f:\mathbb C\to\mathbb C\mathbb P^n\) such that \(f(\mathbb C)\) omits two points and \[\lim_{R\to\infty}\frac{1}{R^{\alpha}}\int_{D_R}f^*\omega_{FS}=+\infty.\]
