In this paper, the authors investigate the global existence and uniqueness of an isolated periodic wave solution of the Burgers-Fisher equation in a very general form. The method is based on employing the monotonicity of the ratio of the abelian integrals. The obtained results improve the previous one and have never appeared in the previous works. To sum up, the method in this paper is technical and the results are interesting.
