The second modulus of continuity is used for estimation o approximations of a bounded measurable function on \([0, 1]\) by Kantorovich type operators \(B_ n (f) x = \sum_{ j = 0}^ n C_n^ j x^ j (1 - x)^{n - j} F_ j( f)\) , where \(F_j\) functionals with sufficiently small supports and certain symmetry. The result obtained is sharp.
