      Let \(B\) be the class of polynomials of the form \[ -1+x+x^{n_1}+\dots+x^{n_s}, \] where \(s \in {\mathbb N}\), \(n_1 \geq 2\) and \(n_{j+1}-n_j \geq n_1-1\) for \(j=1,\dots,s-1\). The class \(B\) has been introduced by the authors in [Arnold Math. J. 4, No. 3--4, 315--344 (2018; Zbl 1440.11030)]. In this paper, the authors study the zeros of \(f \in B\) modulo a prime number \(p\). In particular, they conjecture that for \(n_1 \geq 3\) the reciprocal noncyclotomic part of such a polynomial is trivial, and prove this in a particular case when \(s=3\), \(n_1=5\), \(n_2=14\). Some relation with other work by different authors is also indicated.
