Fano varieties with large Seshadri constants are expected to have good local/global properties. For example, when the base field is \(\mathbb{C}\), for a Fano variety \(X\) of dimension \(n\) and a smooth point \(x\in X\), if \(\epsilon(-K_X, x)>n\), then \(X\simeq \mathbb{P}^n\); if \(\epsilon(-K_X, x)\geq n\), then \(X\) has klt singularities; if \(\epsilon(-K_X, x)> n-1+\delta\) for some fixed \(\delta>0\), then \(X\) is weakly bounded (i.e., \((-K_X)^n\) is uniformly bounded from above). The goal of this paper is to generalize these known results to positive characteristics. Let \(X\) be a Fano variety of dimension \(n\) and a smooth point \(x\in X\) in characteristic \(p>0\). The first result says that if \(\epsilon(-K_X, x)>n\), then \(X\simeq \mathbb{P}^n\); if \(\epsilon(-K_X, x)\geq n\) and \(p>2\), then \(X\) if globally F-regular (an analogue of klt singularities in positive characteristics). In particular, by mod-\(p\)-reduction, this result can give a different proof of that in characteristic \(0\). The second result gives a classification of \(X\) with \(\epsilon(-K_X, x)=n\), and in particular shows that all such \(X\) lift to characteristic \(0\) when \(p>2\). The third result shows the weakly boundedness holds if \(\dim X=3\) and \(p>5\). Here note that the proof uses MMP, which is only known for \(\dim X=3\) and \(p>5\), so it is not easy to generalize to all dimensions as in characteristic \(0\).
