The author mainly considers two subspaces \(\mathcal{D}_{\log_{p}}\) and \(Q_{p,0}\) of the Dirichlet space \(\mathcal{D}\) for some \(p\geq0\). An analytic function \(g\) defined in the unit disk \(\mathbb{D}\) is in \(\mathcal{D}_{\log_{p}}\), \(p\geq0 \), which is called Dirichlet-type space by the author, if \(\int_{\mathbb{D}}|g'|^{2}(\log \frac{1}{(1-|z|)})^{p}<\infty\). An analytic function \(g\) defined in the unit disk \(\mathbb{D}\) is in \(Q_{p,0}\), \( p>0\), if the measure \(d\mu=|g'|^{2}(1-|z|^{2})^{p}dA(z)\) is a \(p\)-vanishing Carleson measure on \(\mathbb{D}\). The author gives two characterizations of quasiconformal extensions of functions in \(\mathcal{D}_{\log_{p}} \) and \(Q_{p,0}\) separately. In [Sci. China, Ser. A 43, No. 3, 267--279 (2000; Zbl 0965.30018)], \textit{G. Cui} first introduced a class of closed Jordan curves which are called Weil-Petersson curves. Recently, Weil-Petersson curves have drawn much attention. Recall that a closed Jordan curve \(\Gamma\) is called a Weil-Petersson curve if the conformal map \(f\) from the unit disk \(\mathbb{D}\) onto the interior domain of \(\Gamma\) satisfies that \(\log f'\) belongs to the Dirichlet space \(\mathcal{D}\). In [\textit{E. A. Gallardo-Gutiérrez} et al., Proc. Lond. Math. Soc. (3) 106, No. 3, 565--588 (2013; Zbl 1276.30026)], the authors give some geometrical characterization of Weil-Petersson curves. Even though there is some error in the proof in [loc. cit.], \textit{Ch. J. Bishop} [``Function theoretic characterizations of Weil-Petersson curves'', Preprint] proved that the statement is correct using techniques that involve the beta number. In this paper, the author considers a new version of beta numbers to give a new characterization of Weil-Petersson curves. Lastly, the author gives some geometric properties of Weil-Petersson curves.
