For an elliptic curve \(E\) over a local field, the local data such as the Kodaira-Néron type, the exponent of the conductor, and the local Tamagawa number can be set up by applying Tate's algorithm. If \(E\) is semi-stable, it is easy to obtain its local data. Otherwise, it is required tedious steps to attain a minimal model of \(E\) in applying Tate's algorithm, especially, in the cases of characteristic \(2\) or \(3\). In this article, for a rational elliptic curve \(E/\mathbb Q\) with a non-trivial rational torsion point, having additive reduction at a prime \(p\), the authors determine local data for \(E/\mathbb Q_p\). In [\textit{A. J. Barrios}, Res. Number Theory 8, No. 1, Paper No. 4, 39 p.(2022; Zbl 1490.11061)], for each non-trivial rational possible torsion group \(T\), the first author constructed a family of elliptic curves \(E_T\) parametrized by at most three parameters and gave necessary and sufficient conditions on the parameters of \(E_T\) that determine the primes \(p\) at which \(E_T\) has additive reduction. Every elliptic curve with a non-trivial rational torsion point, having additive reduction at some primes is isomorphic to a member of the family \(E_T\) for some \(T\). Therefore, they classify completely local data of members of \(E_T\) by the conditions on parameters of \(E_T\). As Corollaries to their results, they find all rational elliptic curves with a \(2-\) or \(3-\) torsion point that have global Tamagawa number \(c=1\). Together with the results of [\textit{D. Lorenzini}, Ann. Inst. Fourier 61, No. 5, 1995--2037 (2011; Zbl 1283.11088)], this gives a classification of all rational elliptic curves with a non-trivial torsion point which have global Tamagawa number \(c=1\). Further, their results permit to construct elliptic curves with prescribed local data. They show that there are infinitely many integers \(k\) such that the elliptic curve \(y^2=x^3+(4k+2)x^2-x\) has a \(2-\) torsion point and \(c=1\).
