This paper presents a framework for homology and cohomology theories on the coarse category. This has already been done by \textit{U. Bunke} and \textit{A. Engel} [Homotopy theory with bornological coarse spaces. Cham: Springer (2020; Zbl 1457.19001) and ``Coarse cohomology theories'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1711.08599}] but in a different way and by \textit{P. D. Mitchener} [Algebr. Geom. Topol. 1, 271--297 (2001; Zbl 0978.58011)]. This work extends on this work. In the first part the paper introduces a generalized coarse homotopy theory which is more general than coarse homotopy introduced by Roe. Groups are supposed to act on coarse spaces by automorphisms. With these definitions in mind a set of axioms for equivariant coarse (co-)homology theories is formulated. An additional axiom, flasqueness, implies together with exactness and excision the homotopy axiom. In the second part the paper discusses several existing cohomology and homology theories according to the new axioms. It discusses Roe's coarse cohomology and its dual coarse homology. The \(K\)-theory on the Roe-algebra also satisfies the new axioms. In additional notes the paper discusses the Vietoris-Rips complex as \(\sigma\)-spaces (this might be the same as ind-spaces). One can use cohomology and homology from topology on the Vietoris-Rips complex. This also forms an equivariant coarse cohomology theory. Further examples are locally finite singular homology, coarse \(K\)-theory together with the coassembly map and coarse \(K\)-homology together with the assembly map.
