    Let \(X\) be a complex Banach space; \(T\) a bounded and closed linear relation (multivalued linear operator) in \(X.\) The quasinilpotent part \(H_0(T)\) of \(T\) is defined as the set of all \(x \in X\) for which there exists a sequence \(\{x_n\} \subset X\) such that \(x_0 = x;\) \(x_{n+1} \in Tx_n, \forall n \in \mathbb{N}\) and \(\Vert x_n\Vert ^{\frac{1}{n}} \to 0.\) The analytic core \(K(T)\) of \(T\) is the set of all \(x \in X\) for which there exist \(c > 0\) and and a sequence \(\{x_n\} \subset X\) such that \(x_0 = x;\) \(x_{n+1} \in Tx_n, \forall n \in \mathbb{N}\) and \(d(x_n,Ker (T) \cap T(0)) \leq c^nd(x, Ker (T) \cap T(0)),\,\,\forall n \in \mathbb{N}.\)\par A linear relation \(T\) is called: \((i)\) upper generalized Drazin invertible if its quasinilpotent part \(H_0(T)\) is complemented with a subspace \(M\) in \(X\) such that \(T(M)\) is closed; \((ii)\) lower generalized Drazin invertible if its analytic core \(K(T)\) is complemented with a subspace \(N\) in \(X\) such that \(N \subseteq H_0(T).\)\par The authors study properties and characterizations of upper and lower generalized Drazin invertible linear relations.
