Various generalizations of the Fermat equation was studied in case of exponent \(4\). \textit{A. Aigner} [Jahresber. Dtsch. Math.-Ver. 43, 226--229 (1934; Zbl 0008.29502)] studied \(x^4+y^4=z^4\) in quartic number fields. \textit{D. K. Faddeev} [Sov. Math., Dokl. 1, 1149--1151 (1960; Zbl 0100.03401); translation from Dokl. Akad. Nauk SSSR 134, 776--777 (1960)] characterized the solutions in quadratic and cubic number fields. \textit{E. D. Manley} [Rocky Mt. J. Math. 36, No. 3, 1027--1031 (2006; Zbl 1139.11018)] and \textit{A. Li} [Bull. Aust. Math. Soc. 104, No. 1, 21--28 (2021; Zbl 1472.11095)] studied \(x^4+py^4=z^4\) and \(x^4+2^ny^4=z^4\). \textit{E. D. Manley} also described the solutions of \(x^4+py^4=z^4\) in quadratic number fields. In the present paper the author investigates \(x^4+py^4=z^4\) in cubic number fields. Among other he proves that if \(p\equiv 11 \bmod{16}\) then this equation has only the trivial solution \(x=\pm z,\ y=0\) in any cyclic cubic number field.
