A Hermitian manifold, i.e., a complex manifold \((M,J)\) endowed with a compatible Riemannian metric \(g\), is called locally conformally Kähler (LCK) if the associated \(2\)-form \(\omega\) defined by \(\omega(X,Y)=g(JX,Y)\) satisfies \[ d\omega =\theta\wedge \omega \] for some closed \(1\)-form \(\theta\) called the Lee form. When \(\theta\) is parallel but nonzero one obtains a so-called Vaisman manifold. Examples include Hopf manifolds \((\mathbb{C}^n)^*/\lambda\) for some \(\lambda\in\mathbb{C}\) of modulus larger than \(1\), and certain nilmanifolds defined as compact quotients of the nilpotent group \(H_{2n+1}\times\mathbb{R}\), where \(H_{2n+1}\) is the Heisenberg group of odd dimension. Non-Vaisman LCK manifolds include the Oeljeklaus-Toma (OT) manifolds. On every Hermitian manifold \((M,J,g)\) there exists an affine line of Hermitian connections introduced by \textit{P. Gauduchon} [Boll. Unione Mat. Ital., VII. Ser., B 11, No. 2, 257--288 (1997; Zbl 0876.53015)]. One special element in this family is the Bismut connection, obtained from the Levi-Civita connection as follows: \[ g(\nabla^b_XY,Z)=g(\nabla^g_XY,Z) +\frac{1}{2}d\omega(JX,JY,JZ). \] It is the unique Hermitian connection with totally antisymmetric torsion. The authors study the holonomy of the Bismut connection on LCK manifolds. They prove that the holonomy of \(\nabla^b\) on a Vaisman manifold is contained in \(U(n-1)\). Then they compute the holonomy of \(\nabla^b\) on the examples provided by Hopf, OT and nilmanifolds. They show that in general the holonomy of \(\nabla^b\) on Vaisman manifolds is not included in \(\mathrm{SU}(n)\). They also show that on OT manifolds the holonomy can be the whole group \(\mathrm{U}(n)\), i.e., there is no holonomy reduction.
