In this paper, the authors study a chemotaxis system with signal-dependent motility, indirect signal production and generalized logistic source in a smooth bounded domain. The global existence of the solution is proved for such kind of chemotaxis system by using a priori estimates, some important inequalities and the well-known standard Alikakos-Moser iteration. More precisely, it is proved that the system \[ u_t = \Delta(\gamma(v)u) + \lambda u-\mu^\sigma \] \[ v_t = \Delta v- v + w \] \[ w_t =- \delta w + u \] has a unique global-in-time solution if \(\sigma > \max (n/2,1)\), \(\lambda \in {\mathbb R}\), \(\mu\) and \(\delta>0\) and the initial data are sufficiently smooth. Moreover, under more restrictive assumptions, the long time behaviour of the solution is studied, i.e. it is showed the convergence of the solution to the ground state.
