In this well-organized paper, the Hausdorff and Prokhorov metrics are provided and also a generalization of Strassen's theorem with related fundamental properties is given. A Strassen-type theorem is proved for the Gromov-Hausdorff-Prokhorov metric in the compact case. Further, the metrization of the Gromov-Hausdorff (-Prokhorov) topology is provided and its properties are studied. In this study, basically it is proved that the set of boundedly-compact pointed metric spaces, equipped with the Gromov-Hausdorff topology, is a Polish space.
