The paper under review deals with the asymptotic behavior of the solutions to elliptic and parabolic problems in domain with doubly weak oscillatory boundaries. More precisely, the authors consider a varying domain \(R^\epsilon\) which is a thin domain in \(\mathbb{R}^{n+1}\) presenting an oscillatory behavior at the boundary and it is defined as the region between two oscillatory functions, i.e., \[ R^\epsilon \equiv \{(x,y)\in \mathbb{R}^{n+1}: x \in \omega \subset \mathbb{R}^n, -\epsilon k^1(x,\epsilon) < y < \epsilon k^2(x,\epsilon)\} , \] where \(\omega\) is a smooth bounded domain in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) and \(k^1\), \(k^2\) are functions satisying suitable assumptions and that may display oscillations. First the authors consider the Neumann problem for the linear elliptic equation below \[ \left\{ \begin{array}{ll} -\Delta w^\epsilon+w^\epsilon = f^\epsilon & \mathrm{in }\ R^\epsilon\, ,\\ \frac{\partial w^\epsilon}{\partial \nu^\epsilon}=0 & \mathrm{on }\ \partial R^\epsilon\, , \end{array} \right. \] where \(\nu^\epsilon\) is the unit outward normal to \(R^\epsilon\). By studying the problem above, they obtain convergence of the resolvent of the Laplacian. Then they exploit this result to investigate the behavior of the global dynamics of the following Neumann problem for a reaction diffusion equation \[ \left\{ \begin{array}{ll} w^\epsilon_t-\Delta w^\epsilon+w^\epsilon = f(w^\epsilon) & \mathrm{in }\ R^\epsilon\, ,t>0\\ \frac{\partial w^\epsilon}{\partial \nu^\epsilon}=0 & \mathrm{on }\ \partial R^\epsilon\, . \end{array} \right. \]
