This is an article about so-called \(\mathbb{P}\)-subnormal subgroups, more specifically about finite groups that can be written as a product of two \(\mathbb{P}\)-subnormal subgroups. The authors describe this property as naturally emerging in the context of supersolubility, and it seems to be partly motivated by the fact that, for soluble groups, it coincides with the concept of \(\mathcal{U}\)-subnormality, where \(\mathcal{U}\) is the formation of all supersoluble groups. If \(G\) is a finite group and \(H \le G\), then \(H\) is said to be \(\mathbb{P}\)-subnormal in \(G\) if and only if \(H=G\) or there exists a chain of subgroups starting at \(H\) and ending at \(G\) where all indices are prime numbers. The main results in this article give criteria for groups to be supersoluble or \(w\)-supersoluble based on factorisations with special properties. Here, a group \(G\) is said to be \(w\)-supersoluble (i.e. widely supersoluble) if and only all Sylow subgroups of \(G\) are \(\mathbb{P}\)-subnormal.
