The purpose of this paper is to establish global-intime existence and uniform-in-time boundedness of solutions to a quasilinear fully parabolic Keller-Segel system of the type \[ u_t = \nabla \cdot (D(u) \nabla u)-\nabla \cdot (S(u)\nabla v) \] and \[ v_t = \Delta v - v + u \] with nonnegative initial data \(u_0 \in L^1\cap L^{\infty}\), and \(v_0\in L^1\cap W^{1,\infty}\). Morever it is assumed that \(D(u) \geq u^{m-1}\) with \(m \geq 1\) and \(S(u) \leq u^{q-1}\) with \(q \geq 2\). The authors derive uniform-in-time boundedness of nonnegative solutions to the system when \(q <m+ \frac2N\). The proof is based on the maximal Sobolev regularity for the second equation. This also gives an alternative proof with respect the one given by Tao-Winkler in the case of bounded domains.
