Let \(X \subset \mathbb{P}^N\) be a projective variety of dimension \(n\). An Ulrich sheaf on \(X\) is a coherent sheaf \(\mathcal E\) on \(X\) satisfying \(H^i(X, \mathcal E(-j))=0\) for any \(i \in \mathbb{Z}\) and \(1 \le j \le n\), introduced in [\textit{D. Eisenbud} and \textit{F.-O. Schreyer}, J. Am. Math. Soc. 16, No. 3, 537--575, appendix 576--579 (2003; Zbl 1069.14019)]. In [loc. cit.], Eisenbud and Schreyer asked whether every projective variety supports an Ulrich sheaf. The existence is known for a few cases, including Grassmannians [\textit{L. Costa} and \textit{R. M. Miró-Roig}, Math. Ann. 361, No. 1--2, 443--457 (2015; Zbl 1330.14021)] and some flag varieties [\textit{I. Coskun} et al., J. Algebra 474, 49--96 (2017; Zbl 1358.14032)]. The paper under review studies the existence of Ulrich bundles on a twisted flag variety, which is a variety \(X\) over a field \(k\) whose base change \(X_s := X {\otimes}_{k} k^{sep}\) over the separable closure is a homogeneous variety. The author first discussed the existence of a very ample line bundle \(\mathcal L\) on \(X\) satisfying \(\mathcal L_s \simeq \mathcal O_{X_s}(r)\) for some \(r>0\) (see Lemma 4 and Proposition 7). The main result of the paper is the existence of Ulrich bundles for \((X, \mathcal L^d)\) for any \(d>0\) where \(X\) is a twisted flag of type \(A_n, B_n, C_n\) or \(D_n\) (see Theorem 6 and Theorem 8).
