Let \(R\) be a nonempty subset of an associative unital ring \(Q\) with center \(Z(Q)\), \(T_n(R)\) the set of all \(n\times n\) upper triangular matrices over \(R\), and \(T_n(Q)\) the upper triangular matrix ring over \(Q\). In this manuscript, the investigators generalize the conclusions drawn by \textit{Y. Wang} [Linear Multilinear Algebra 67, No. 2, 348--359 (2019; Zbl 1403.16022)]. More precisely, they demonstrate: let \(R\) be a subset of a unital ring \(Q\) such that \(0\in R\). Further, let us fix an element \(t\in Q\). If \(R\) is a \((t;d)\)-free subset of \(Q\), then \(T_n(R)\) is a \((t';d)\)-free subset of \(T_n(Q)\), where \(t'\in T_n(Q)\), \(t'_{ll}=t\), \(l=1,2,\cdots,n,\) for any \(n\in \mathbb N\).
