In this long paper, the authors consider the stochastic six-vertex model (a precise definition can be found in Section 1.2), whose configuration space consists of lattice paths on the square grid, in the positive quadrant, that may touch each other without crossing. The paths can be interpreted as level lines of some height function \(H(x,y)\). In the limit regime as the mesh size of the grid tends to 0, the authors prove that the centered and scaled fluctuations of the exponential \(q^{H(x,y)}\) converges to the solution of the stochastic telegraph equation: \[ \partial_x\partial_y f(x,y) + \beta_1 \partial_y f (x,y)+ \beta_2 \partial_x f(x,y)= v(x,y) \eta, \] where \(q\) is a quantization parameter tending to 1 in the limit, \(v(x,y)\) is some function and \(\eta\) the 2D white noise.
