The author proves two extensions of the well-known Krasnoselskii fixed point theorem. More precisely, he examines the existence of fixed points of an operator \(T: A \times C(A) \to X\), where \(X\) is a real Banach space, \(M\) is a complete metric space, \(C\) is a compact mapping defined on a closed and bounded subset \(A\) of \(X\) with values in \(M\). For that, he introduces the notion of a singularly equicontractive family of mappings. As an application of the proven fixed point theorems, the author establishes the existence theorem for an initial value problem for certain integro-differential equations.
