A new class of sequences is introduced. It is a generalization of the classes of sequences with generalized monotonicity considered by \textit{B. Szal} [Math. Nachr. 284, No. 14--15, 1985--2002 (2011; Zbl 1230.40004)] and \textit{E. Liflyand} and \textit{S. Tikhonov} [in: Analysis and mathematical physics. Lectures delivered at the international conference ``New trends in harmonic and complex analysis'', Voss, Norway, May 7--12, 2007. Basel: Birkhäuser. 377--395 (2009; Zbl 1297.42009); Math. Nachr. 284, No. 8--9, 1083--1098 (2011; Zbl 1223.26017)]. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the uniform convergence of sine and cosine trigonometric series with coefficients subject to this new generalized monotonicity are obtained.
