Let \({T=[0,a], a>0}\) be an interval and \(\mu\) a nonatomic Radon measure defined on a Borel \(\sigma\)-algebra \(\mathfrak{B}_T\) of Borel subsets of \(T\). Let \(n,m\in L^1_\mu(T,\mathbb{R}^+)\). The main result of the paper states that there exists a unique function \(r:T\to\mathbb{R}^+\) of bounded variation such that \(r(0)=r_0>0\) and \(\mu\)-a.e. \[ \frac{dr}{d\mu}(t)=n(t)+m(t)r(t). \] The author gives a formula for \(r\) and obtains a Bellman-Gronwall-type inequality for it. There are also some different propositions on the densities of Borel measures presented.
