In the present study, the authors established general geometric Hardy's identities and inequalities on domains in \(\mathbb{{R}}^{N}\) in the spirit of their celebrated works by Brezis-Vázquez and Brezis-Marcus. Authors used the notion of Bessel pairs introduced by Ghoussoub and Moradifam to established several Hardy identities and inequalities with the general distance functions. Their Hardy's identities for general Bessel pairs and their special cases improved the Hardy inequalities with general distance functions \(d(x)\) by Barbatis, Filippas and Tertikas. They also established the best constant and extremal functions for a new type of the Hardy-Sobolev-Maz'ya inequality on the domain \(\sum = \left\{ x_{i}> 0, i = 1, \dots , N\right\}\) with the distance function \(d_{1}(x) = d(x, \partial\sum) = \min\left\{x_{1}, \dots , x_{N}\right\}.\) The present Hardy's identities on the domain \(\left\{0 <d_{1}(x) < R\right\}\) with the distance function \(d_{1}(x) = \min\left\{x_{1}, \dots , x_{N}\right\}\) are in the spirit of Brezis-Vázquez and Brezis-Marcus. Many applications of the main theorems on Hardy's identities and inequalities with general distance functions were given and these results improve and sharpen many Hardy's inequalities in the literature. Some interesting examples of Bessel pairs and distance functions were also given at the end.
