This paper studies qualitative aspects of cytolytic and non-cytolytic immune response in an hepatitis B virus dynamic model. The model equations are studied to determine the reproduction ratio and some conditions are given to ensure stability of the disease equilibria. The state variables considered include healthy hepatocyte density, unhealthy hepatocyte density, number of virus cells as well as density of immune response cells. Both the healthy and unhealthy hepatocyte cell dynamics are regulated via homeostasis. Some numerical simulations are also performed.
